Eyes up, Phones Down Worcester Campaign

Course: PR, Social Media, and Advertising

Another one of favorite courses was PR, Social Media, and Advertising, where we collaborated with the Worcesters District Attorney’s Office to promote their Eyes Up, Phones Down campaign, focused this time on pedestrian safety. Our class was divided into three groups: PR, Social Media, and Advertising. I was part of the advertising group and our job was to create original video content for the campaign. We decided to take a creative approach and go for retro 80s/90s feel by using analog footage and VHS effects to evoke feelings of nostalgia. The goal was to connect with multiple generations, from the older generations that have lived through that era to the younger generation that admire the look and feel of that visual style.

Worcester DA Interview

We interviewed District Attorney Joe Early, in his office to gather his insights on pedestrian and road safety, the steps needed to get to create safer streets, as well as his personal encounters from the consequences of unsafe driving.
